CENDECO
The Center for Extension, Executive Development and Organizational Consulting (CENDECO) of the Metropolitan University, responds to the necessity of strengthening the institution’s link with civil society, the productive sector, and public and private organizations, by attending to their needs for professional training and skills development. They aim to anticipate and respond to changes in the environment, achieve superior performance and increase their market value.
The catalog includes diploma programs and courses in various management topics, as well as in the areas of Law and Engineering. These programs have the approval of the Academic Vice Rector of Unimet. CENDECO operates with its own resources through alliances with professionals and renowned institutions, which enrich its portfolio of products and services.
CENDECO offers the opportunity to acquire new management competencies and skills in a virtual environment —via Internet— and in different areas of specialization. This allows breaking with schedule and location barriers that intervene in day-to-day life, thus adapting to the pace of today’s professional. The center also offers, as an option, the service of in-company training.

Overview
Did European explorers stumble upon a lost paradise in the New World? Was it indigenous resistance or the enigmatic encounter of two worlds? When did the territory of what would be the future Venezuela begin to take shape? Was the independence a civil feat? Are the military the only ones called to lead the destiny of the country? Were the cacao, coffee and oil, the kings of the Venezuelan economy? Did the Venezuelan 20th century really begin after the death of General Juan Vicente Gómez in 1935? When did Venezuelan women fully achieve all their political rights? Is Democracy possible in Venezuela? You will elucidate the answer to these and other questions, along the teaching staff that Unimet has appointed for this renewed edition of the program, in order to better understand our past.
